This was carved in 4 oz. English Royal Meadow leather, with pigskin suede interior.

The gold highlights were done in a leather lacquer that is no longer on the market.

The top alone took 8 days to carve, and I had to grind down some tools in order to complete the work. (This was before she "discovered" Robert Beard's wonderful Pro Series tools.)

Inside is fully lined with pigskin suede with a lift out tray.

The Wood Chest was custom built by Robert Hollister.
